Classic Disaster is an Alt Metalcore band from Southern California, founded by Adam Castro (Vocals/Guitar) in 2020, and later joined by Joshua Walker (Guitar), and Anthony Mucci (Bass).

In 2020 Adam Castro began working on demos for Classic Disaster as a solo project in the height of the Covid 19 Pandemic.  He also began studying under Andrew Stanton (Guitarist for Disciple) to improve in both guitar playing, writing, and overall production.  This led to an opportunity for Adam to be a part of a livestream called CONTAGION FEST (PHASE II) in April of 2021, and Classic Disaster had its debut exposure to the Christian Rock/Metal scene.

 

With positive feedback from the performance, Adam was determined to bring Classic Disaster from a solo project, to a full touring band.  Through Andrew Stanton, Adam was able to meet another student of his in May of 2021, Joshua Walker, who had previously played a few shows with Spoken and was looking for a band to join.  The two of them began writing, demoing, and practicing songs in hopes to find more members to join the band.

Finding other members proved to be a huge challenge, especially at the tail end of the pandemic.  They asked around, posted on social media, inquired in group chats, even went to the Nextdoor App and Facebook Marketplace to find anyone local who was interested in joining a Metalcore band.  After a year of meeting for practices, writing songs, and playing to midi drums (GGD is amazing), they finally got a Facebook message from a young worship drummer named Zach Lillemoen in May of 2022, who just so happened to also be interested in Rock and Metal music. (Zach played drums for the band from 2022-2025 and then later joined the Christian Deathcore band (Un)Worthy).

 

On March 31st, 2023 Classic Disaster released their first original studio single called "To The Ground" through Sanctify Studios, mixed and mastered by Robert Manzone of TuneItLow TV and Searching Serenity, and with artwork by For The Rock and KingdomCore Podcast host, Christopher Adam.  This was later followed by "Escape" and "Broken System" leading up to their Fully Independent Debut EP: "Too Blind To See" on May 31st 2024. The EP was remixed and remastered by Adam Castro and led to huge opportunities like opening for the Aggressive Worship Tour with Convictions, Confessions of a Traitor and Cultist...opening for Zahna, Manic Drive, Nate Parrish and Disciple at the Rockin Worship Bootcamp in AZ... and finding new members like our touring Drummer Julio Garcia of Slaves To Nothing, and Anthony Mucci who came on as our official Bassist in 2025.

With their new single "Prey For Peace" released October 2025, Classic Disaster is now booking shows and ready to get this music out to an area near you.  The focus of this band is simple, to create deep and meaningful music that reflects the reality of what we as human beings feel and go through on a daily basis, seeking to bridge the gap between hardship and hope and connect with those caught in the struggle, still be willing to reach out to God for help.
